Course Description
Employers must provide workers with information regarding chemical hazards and protective measures. This course details the requirements of OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard (HCS 29 CFR 1910.1200), aligned with the Global Harmonized System (GHS). We focus on SDS structures, label elements, pictograms, and exposure containment.

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
- Identify the goals and requirements of OSHA's HazCom Standard
- Recognize the 9 standardized GHS chemical pictograms and their meanings
- Read and interpret GHS labels, signal words (Danger, Warning), and warning statements
- Locate crucial exposure controls, cleanup procedures, and emergency info within a 16-section Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
