Course Description
Healthcare workers are exposed to infectious diseases, needle-sticks, and biohazards daily. This course details the requirements of OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030), explaining exposure control plans, universal precautions, engineering controls (such as sharps containers), personal hygiene, vaccination benefits, and post-exposure treatment plans.
